“To: Horgan (Jeremiah)

From: Magalys Gonzalez

Dear Horgan,

We are grateful to the brothers and sisters of the (Servants of) the Sacred Heart as followers of Christ who put into action the words of the Lord, thereby demonstrating the love in the help to brothers (and sisters) in need.

Developments in our municipality: Sibanicu, Project “Esperanza” which is focused on women who in a moment of their lives, for various reasons, lack of consciousness, lack of understanding, immaturity, pressure from family or society or other difficulties in life, wish to have an abortion. For these women Project “Esperanza” especially offers spiritual help along with other types of support depending on their needs. Taking into account the Cuban reality, we have received donations of clothes, toys and other useful things for babies and young needy children. We stay close to the mothers offering support with Christian advice that brings them closer to God until they reach the baptism of the children. We also make available support to women who have had abortions who suffer mentally and need help.

We will continue our work with love while we keep records of what we do, while we appreciate all the help that you make available to us to be able to carry all this out.

Magalys Gonzalez, Sibanicu, Cuba” (Translated from Spanish)
